Prior to the abduction, my hair was strawberry blonde. My father had red hair, and it brings me joy to think that once my hair was like his.

But Fear came and stole my color. Working through my mother’s hands, it changed me from red to dark brown. Then Fear took the scissors and cut my hair and made me look like a boy. Fear convinced my mother that this change would keep me safe.

Fear took my father away. Fear drove my mother insane. Fear lied and stole from me. Fear was determined to destroy me and my family. He almost succeeded.
Fear, I have something to say to you.
No more. Not this time. Not with me. This is the line you may not cross. You wreaked havoc in my mother and father’s lives, but you will not do so with me.
What is true:
I am a new creation in Christ. I am free. You have no place in my mind and heart. You have no place in my home. You have no place in my family.
My name is Christina, which means follower of Christ. He is my Lord. He is my rock.
I am trusting in His strength to defeat You. You need to leave. The blood of the Lamb is my shield. My Savior will guard me.
My red hair is gone. My parents are gone. But something new is coming. A new Tina is climbing out of the pit. She is determined to be free and made whole.
Join me in my climb.
See you at the top!

Rev 12: 11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony
Prayer
Precious Savior,
You are victorious over fear. You conquered the grave and in Your name, we will overcome the chains that hold us in bondage. We do not need to stay in the pit of anxiety and depression. We choose to take steps of faith and move forward. Thank you for victory over all our fears!
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
