Listen to Your Gut

Disruptive sleep, kidney issues and chest pains caused me to look for solutions.

Bottles line the shelves with labels bearing curious names: Hematic Formula, Algazim, Buchu, and Nattokinase -terms one might discover in a laboratory filled with exotic plants and colorful mushrooms. But I am in an office, not a lab, and the woman across the desk from me is discussing the benefits of nutrition.

God led me to Dorcas Hess’ office. Inflammation of muscles, acid reflux, disruptive sleep, kidney issues, and chest pains caused me to look for solutions. Through prayer and the advice of a friend, I found myself sitting with Dorcas for an evaluation.

During the conversation, I hear phrases such as leaky gut, cleansing diet, no dairy or gluten, drink plenty of water, eat bone broth, take supplements . . . . The list of protocols seems quite daunting. Can I do this?

It has been over two months since our initial visit, and I am surprised by the results. Within days I was sleeping better, and the acid reflux stopped. The pain in my kidneys lessened and so did the chest pains.

My gut was telling me to make a change. I wish I would have listened sooner!

Better sleep=better emotional/mental health

Thank you, God, for leading me to Dorcas. Help me to be diligent in following the path to healing through a healthy diet.

If your gut is telling you to make a change, I highly recommend visiting someone like Dorcas. Here is her contact info:

I Corinthians 6:19

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself.

Usually I put a song at the end of my blogs, but this topic does not lend itself to song. Songs about eating healthy, hmmmmm. Thinking. . . . .

How about this one . . .?

Guess what? God’s Word, our daily bread, is gluten free 😉

Feeling silly today. This picture makes me laugh.
