Let me take you to one of my favorite hiking spots in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Grab your sweater and a pair of hiking shoes. Don’t forget your water bottle!
In the small town of Rexmont, there is a stream that weaves its way through the trees. This small stream once fed into a large water reservoir for the citizens of Lebanon. Now a narrow trail borders the babbling brook, and the brook leads the curious to a nearby spring.

Today I found some wildflowers during my hike.

Liverwort or Hepatica

Coltsfoot

Skunk Cabbage
During our hike, we need to stop and look up at the trees. The wind blows them back and forth. Can you hear the wind? Can you see the trees waving in the breeze?
Now bend down and touch the moss. Press your hand into its spongy, lush green mound.

Time to head back. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air before we leave. Walking in the woods is one of my favorite ways to relax from a stressful week. I hope you feel refreshed by this virtual hike with me.
Scripture
“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them” (Job 7:38 NIV)
Prayer
Good evening Abba,
I wonder how Adam and Eve felt when they walked with you in the cool of the day. Did you talk with them about the plants? Did you chuckle with them as they watched the squirrels chasing each other up the trees? Did you put your feet into the cool stream and listen to the wind?
Your creation is beautiful, and I delight in watching it come to life each spring. May our hearts burst into song as we admire your amazing handiwork!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
