1:10 on the clock

125 steps to the road

346 steps to the first bench

1,141 steps in total around the loop at park

Can she do it? Yes, she can!

Need inspirational theme music. Think Rocky theme song.

Introducing a new sport for us senior folks: BENCH HOPPING! Hold on to your hats, folks, these seniors are speedy. Our first contestant is the amazing Tina Kramer. Tina is a local to these parts and is well known to the bench hopping community. Tension fills the crowd as Tina approaches her first bench. Her eyes are intent on the bench and her feet quickly pivot to prepare for a secure landing. The descent is efficiently made and the judges unanimously give her a perfect score. What an excellent performance for our veteran player. Well done, Tina!

Time to Ponder

You have choices to make. When you get old and your body becomes weak, you can get grumpy and complain or find other ways to enjoy life. In the past, I would cruise around the park almost every day 1-2 miles at a clip. Sometimes I would do it twice a day. Now, I am happy if I can hop from bench to bench.

Celebrate with me as I regain my strength.

I am determined to be an overcomer. As long as I can, I will hop from bench to bench till my legs and lungs get stronger.

As long as I can, I will sing to my Savior till He chooses to heal me or takes me to my heavenly home.

Let’s celebrate the little victories in life.

So ladies, anytime you want to hop benches with me, just let me know!
