Mural

In the beginning there was an idea-an idea to fill an empty wall with beauty. The idea passed from leader to artist and from artist to friends. Our son, Kenny, was a senior in high school when the idea was presented to him. I remember the rough draft and marveled at his creativity. The mural would be a word wall-truth, images, color, and letters blended to create a place where art and Scripture dance together.

Kenny recruited other young artists, and on Saturdays they met together to bring the word wall to life. Weeks, months, and years passed until the mural was completed. The truth shared through the mural encouraged many.

Many thanks to all of you who helped create this mural. I pray that each of you will continue to use your talents of creativity for God’s glory.

Prayer

I praise you, God, for color, shape, and form. Thank you for giving us the gift of painting. I pray for Kenny and other artists like him, that they would continue to glorify you with their skills.

You, O Lord, are the greatest artist, and we stand in awe of your beauty!
